Compare

See what changed between two versions

Two .story files, any two versionsText, media, quiz, triggers, variables

What changed, at a glance

A verdict on how much changed and what kind: text, media, quiz answers, triggers, and variables.

Where the changes are

A scene-by-scene breakdown, plus a slide-by-slide diff you can click through line by line.

Ready to share

One-click PDF, text, and email exports of everything that changed between the two files.

No longer have the old file? Load a saved snapshot instead.

Current version

No files handy? See a sample comparison to see how this works.

Only have one file? Compare needs two versions to diff. For a single course, try Health Check or Course Docs instead.

Health Check

Check the health of one course

Nine checks on every dropStructural, accessibility, and advisory findings

Nine checks, one verdict

Broken links, orphaned content, unused variables, size & bloat, accessibility gaps, placeholder text, and more, run automatically on every file you drop.

Where the findings are

Every finding organized by section and by slide, with a waive workflow for anything that's fine as-is.

Translation Check

Check a Storyline translation file

Three checks on every dropXLIFF 1.2 or 2.0, no course file needed

Where the file stands

How much is translated, how much is left, and how many translated segments need a second look, at a glance.

What was flagged

Segments that look untranslated, %Variable% references dropped or added in translation, and text likely to overflow its box. Waive what's fine.

Draft translation

Optional: machine-draft whatever's still untranslated, on your own device in Chrome or Edge, with variables locked so course logic keeps working.

Text Fixes

Fix the wording without opening Storyline

The .story file or an XLIFF exportFormatting and variables stay put

Read the course

Every paragraph of on-slide text, in order, with bold and italics shown.

Fix the wording

Click a paragraph to edit it. Variables and formatting can't be broken.

Send one file

Download the fixes. Your developer imports them with Storyline's own translation import.

Drop the course's .story file, or click to choose

An XLIFF export works too (File → Localization → XLIFF/Word Translation → Export). No Storyline needed on your end.
